# Lovable alternatives when the app is for your team only

> Canonical: https://teamonly.dev/compare/lovable-alternatives

Last updated 25 October 2026. Written by TeamOnly, one of the options below. Every other claim links to the vendor's own pages.

**Short answer:** If your coworkers already have Lovable accounts, stay on Lovable: invite only is free for up to 10 people per project, and Business (from $50 a month) limits an app to your workspace. If they don't, every platform-based option asks them to make an account or share a password. To have coworkers sign in with the work account they already have, build in Claude Code or Cursor, or bring your Lovable code over, and host it on TeamOnly from $19 a month.

## When is each one the right pick?

### Lovable itself

A published Lovable app is public until you change it. On Free and Pro you can switch it to invite only, for up to 10 people per project. On Business, from $50 a month ($25 for Pro), you can limit it to your workspace or a custom list, and SSO comes with it. Visitors to a private app sign in with a Lovable account, and invited people without one can make one.

Right pick when: your coworkers already use Lovable, or the app is for 10 people or fewer. Keep building where you are; it is a setting.

### Bolt.new

Bolt sites on the Free plan are public. On a paid plan you can publish privately: your Bolt team sees it, plus people you invite by email or anyone at an email domain you trust. A site on a custom domain can only be public. Pro starts at $18 a month billed yearly, and Teams at $27 per member, also billed yearly.

Right pick when: you want to keep building in a browser and let in everyone at your email domain.

### v0 by Vercel

v0 builds Next.js apps and puts them on Vercel, so privacy is Vercel's Deployment Protection. Vercel Authentication is free on every plan but only lets in people with a Vercel account who have access. A shared password is $20 a month per project on Pro. Sign-in through your own identity provider, called Passport, is Enterprise only. The database is one you connect, such as Supabase or Neon.

Right pick when: your team already works in Vercel and has accounts there.

### Replit

Replit's sharing setting has four choices: public, password protected, workspace only and invite only. The two private ones make visitors sign in with a Replit account; the password option needs no account but is one shared password. Replit says private publishing is on Starter and Core plans and up since May 2026. Core is $20 a month, or $18 billed yearly. SSO is on Enterprise.

Right pick when: you want an AI agent and a database in one browser tab, and a shared password is private enough.

### Base44

Base44 apps can be public, private or limited to your workspace. Private apps are on paid plans only: only people you invite get in, and they have to sign in. Paid plans start at Starter, $20 a month or $16 billed yearly. Every plan includes a database, sign-in and file storage. SSO is on Enterprise.

Right pick when: you want everything built for you in the browser and are happy to invite each person.

### Retool

Retool is a different approach: you build the tool in Retool's editor from ready-made parts, and Retool handles hosting and login. It is free for up to 5 users. Team is $10 per builder and $5 per internal user a month, billed yearly ($12 and $7 monthly). Custom SSO is on Enterprise.

Right pick when: you are starting fresh, want a dashboard on top of existing data, and don't mind paying per user.

### Claude Code or Cursor, hosted on TeamOnly

You build with Claude Code or Cursor on your computer, in plain English, and `npx teamonly deploy` puts the app online behind your company login. Coworkers sign in with their work Google or Microsoft account, or a code sent to their work email, and nobody else gets in. Each app gets its own database, file storage and secrets. Apps are React with a small JavaScript or TypeScript API; internal apps only, nothing public.

Right pick when: your coworkers don't have accounts on a builder platform, you want them to use their work account, and you are fine building on your computer.

## How do I move a Lovable app to TeamOnly?

Most Lovable apps are React and Vite, which is the app shape TeamOnly runs. What changes is Supabase: its tables, sign-in and storage become the database and login that come with the app.

1. **Get the code.** In Lovable, connect GitHub and push the project, then clone it to your computer.
2. **Add TeamOnly.** In the project folder, run `npx teamonly init`. It adds the files TeamOnly apps need and instructions for your AI tool, without touching your code.
3. **Ask your AI tool to move it.** In Claude Code or Cursor, say "Move this app to TeamOnly". It keeps the screens, rebuilds the Supabase tables in the app's own database and tells you what it couldn't move.
4. **Put it online.** Run `npx teamonly deploy` and share the link.

Your existing data doesn't come over by itself: export it from Supabase as CSV. Live updates become a Refresh button, and email can only go to people at your company. The full guide lists what moves and what doesn't, from four real apps we moved: [Move a Lovable, Bolt or v0 app](https://teamonly.dev/move-from-lovable-bolt-v0).

## Questions people ask

### What is the best Lovable alternative for internal apps?

It depends on who will open the app. If your coworkers already have Lovable accounts, Lovable itself is the simplest answer. If they don't, every builder platform asks them to make an account there or share a password. If you want them to sign in with their work account, build in Claude Code or Cursor and host the app on TeamOnly.

### How do I make a Lovable app private?

In Lovable's publish settings, change the website access from Public. On Free and Pro you can choose invite only, for up to 10 people per project. On Business (from $50 a month) and Enterprise you can limit it to your workspace or a custom list. Visitors sign in with a Lovable account.

### Can I make a Lovable app private without the Business plan?

Yes, for up to 10 invited people per project on Free or Pro. Each of them needs a Lovable account. For a whole team, Lovable asks for Business. Or you can [move the app to TeamOnly](https://teamonly.dev/move-from-lovable-bolt-v0), where anyone with your company email can sign in, from $19 a month.

### Do my coworkers need an account to open the app?

On Lovable, Replit, Retool and v0 with Vercel Authentication, yes: an account on that platform, unless you use a shared password where there is one. On TeamOnly, no. Coworkers sign in with their work Google or Microsoft account, or a 6-digit code sent to their work email, and people who only use apps are free.

### Will my Lovable app work on TeamOnly?

Usually, with some work from your AI tool. React and Vite screens, Tailwind and shadcn/ui come over as they are. Supabase tables, sign-in, storage and functions are rebuilt on the app's own database, files and server code. Your data comes over as a CSV export. The [move guide](https://teamonly.dev/move-from-lovable-bolt-v0) has the full list.

### Can I keep editing the app in Lovable after moving it?

Not the moved copy. Once Supabase is replaced, Lovable's editor can't run it. Keep changing it in Claude Code or Cursor, then run `npx teamonly deploy` again.

### Is TeamOnly an alternative to Lovable for public apps?

No. TeamOnly only hosts internal apps, behind your company login. For a public site or a customer-facing app, Lovable, Bolt, v0 and Replit are all built for that.
