For Claude Code

Share the app you built with Claude Code, just with your team

Claude Code wrote the tool. TeamOnly puts it online at a private link, behind your company’s Google or Microsoft login, with a database already set up. Nobody needs a Claude account to use it, and nothing is public.

01The choice

Where should a Claude Code app live?

Public host

Vercel, Netlify and similar hosts are built for websites anyone can visit. Great for a product page, a portfolio or an app for customers.

Making one private usually means paying extra per project, or asking every coworker to make an account on that platform.

Team only

An internal tool, like an expense approver or a stock counter, only needs to reach the people you work with. It should sit behind the login your company already has.

That is what TeamOnly does, and the only thing it does.

02Why not just Vercel

Why “just put it on Vercel” isn’t the answer for an internal tool

Vercel is excellent at what it is for. An internal tool needs three things it does not hand you out of the box.

  • A login that only lets coworkers in. On Vercel, visitors to a protected app need a Vercel account with access to the project, or you pay for password protection. Neither is “sign in with your work account”.
  • A place to keep data. You would pick and connect a database service yourself, and Claude would write code for whichever one you chose.
  • A safe spot for keys. Possible, but one more thing to set up and get right.

None of this is hard for a developer. It is a weekend for everyone else, and the login part is easy to get subtly wrong. See the honest comparison for details and prices.

03Three steps

Set it up, ask, deploy

Works the same whether you started in Claude Code or began in claude.ai and moved the project over.

  1. Set it up in your project

Run npx teamonly init. It adds a skill file that Claude Code reads automatically. The skill explains what a TeamOnly app looks like, so Claude writes code that works on the first deploy instead of reaching for a database service or login library we don’t run.

  2. Ask Claude for the tool

Plain English is fine: “Build a request form for new laptops. Save who asked and let me mark each one ordered.” Claude uses the skill to get the signed-in person, save data and store files.

  3. Deploy and share the link

Run npx teamonly deploy, or ask Claude to. You get a link like requests.acme.teamonly.app. Send it to your team.

In an AI coding tool, someone types: Build me an expense approval tool for my team. The app's screen takes shape: a list of expenses, each with an Approve button. Then one command, npx teamonly deploy, and the tool is live at expenses.acme.teamonly.app.

A plain-English request in Claude Code becomes an app, then a deploy.

04Hands off

Can Claude Code deploy it for me?

Yes. Claude can run the deploy command itself, and it asks first.

Once you are signed in to TeamOnly on your computer, “deploy it” is a complete instruction. So is “check the logs, something broke”.

05Artifacts

Claude Code artifacts vs a TeamOnly app

On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, you can share artifacts from a session with people in your organization. They are great for a report, a walkthrough or a one-off page.

FAQ

Questions people ask

All questions and answers

Can Claude Code deploy apps?

Yes. Claude Code can run commands in your terminal, so once TeamOnly is set up you can say “deploy this” and it runs npx teamonly deploy for you. It asks before running commands unless you have told it not to.

Where do I host a Claude Code app?

If anyone on the internet should use it, a public host like Vercel or Netlify is a good fit. If only your coworkers should use it, host it somewhere with company login built in. TeamOnly is made for that second case.

Do my coworkers need Claude?

No. They only need their work Google or Microsoft account. Claude is how you build the tool; your team never sees it.

Is my code sent anywhere besides TeamOnly?

When you deploy, your built app goes to TeamOnly and runs on Cloudflare, where we host every app. Your conversations with Claude stay between you and Anthropic, as they do today. We do not see them.
