Lovable itself
A published Lovable app is public until you change it. On Free and Pro you can switch it to invite only, for up to 10 people per project. On Business, from $50 a month ($25 for Pro), you can limit it to your workspace or a custom list, and SSO comes with it. Visitors to a private app sign in with a Lovable account, and invited people without one can make one.
Right pick when Your coworkers already use Lovable, or the app is for 10 people or fewer. Keep building where you are; it is a setting.
Bolt.new
Bolt sites on the Free plan are public. On a paid plan you can publish privately: your Bolt team sees it, plus people you invite by email or anyone at an email domain you trust. A site on a custom domain can only be public. Pro starts at $18 a month billed yearly, and Teams at $27 per member, also billed yearly.
Right pick when You want to keep building in a browser and let in everyone at your email domain.
v0 by Vercel
v0 builds Next.js apps and puts them on Vercel, so privacy is Vercel’s Deployment Protection. Vercel Authentication is free on every plan but only lets in people with a Vercel account who have access. A shared password is $20 a month per project on Pro. Sign-in through your own identity provider, called Passport, is Enterprise only. The database is one you connect, such as Supabase or Neon.
Right pick when Your team already works in Vercel and has accounts there.
Replit
Replit’s sharing setting has four choices: public, password protected, workspace only and invite only. The two private ones make visitors sign in with a Replit account; the password option needs no account but is one shared password. Replit says private publishing is on Starter and Core plans and up since May 2026. Core is $20 a month, or $18 billed yearly. SSO is on Enterprise.
Right pick when You want an AI agent and a database in one browser tab, and a shared password is private enough.
Base44
Base44 apps can be public, private or limited to your workspace. Private apps are on paid plans only: only people you invite get in, and they have to sign in. Paid plans start at Starter, $20 a month or $16 billed yearly. Every plan includes a database, sign-in and file storage. SSO is on Enterprise.
Right pick when You want everything built for you in the browser and are happy to invite each person.
Retool
Retool is a different approach: you build the tool in Retool’s editor from ready-made parts, and Retool handles hosting and login. It is free for up to 5 users. Team is $10 per builder and $5 per internal user a month, billed yearly ($12 and $7 monthly). Custom SSO is on Enterprise.
Right pick when You are starting fresh, want a dashboard on top of existing data, and don’t mind paying per user.
Claude Code or Cursor, hosted on TeamOnly
You build with Claude Code or Cursor on your computer, in plain English, and npx teamonly deploy puts the app online behind your company login. Coworkers sign in with their work Google or Microsoft account, or a code sent to their work email, and nobody else gets in. Each app gets its own database, file storage and secrets. Apps are React with a small JavaScript or TypeScript API; internal apps only, nothing public.
Right pick when Your coworkers don’t have accounts on a builder platform, you want them to use their work account, and you are fine building on your computer.
